The Nature of War and Peace: A Systems Transdisciplinary Study
Keywords:
transdisciplinarity, systems thinking, sustainable development, nature of war and peace
Abstract
The article presents the results of a transdisciplinary study on the nature of war and peace, conducted within the framework of the contemporary comprehension of sustainable development. The research was structured based on Allan AtKisson’s algorithm, which served as a conceptual roadmap. Within this framework, the study employed systems thinking and adopted a transdisciplinary systems approach to achieve a profound and holistic understanding of the subject. The models developed within this framework have made it possible to identify and describe both the objective and subjective dimensions of war and peace, elucidate the causes underlying the cyclical nature of global conflicts, and provide a theoretical basis for integrating innovative mechanisms into existing state governance structures, which are capable of ensuring sustainable development of society within a long-term peace.
